Now that you know all of the hot dog-friendly spots in Annapolis, it’s important to understand how to keep your trip fun, safe, and respectful for everyone.

Here are a few things to consider so you can help keep Annapolis welcoming to pups and their people.

  1. Keep your dog leashed in public spaces unless otherwise posted.

  2. BYOWB (Bring Your Own Water Bowl) or ask for a dish at pet-friendly restaurants or coffee shops.

  3. Whatever you do. . . don’t forget the poop bags! Annapolis is dog-friendly because people clean up.

  4. Check the temps before you head out. Summer in Annapolis comes with hot weather. Keep your pups' paws safe and always check the forecast. Early mornings and evenings are best.
