Washington Metro DachtoberFest, the largest long-dog festval in the Mid-Atlantic Region, is held

every year on the first Saturday in October at the Frederick County Fair Grounds in Frederick,

Maryland. It contnues the treasured traditon of bringing dog lovers together to enjoy a day of family-

oriented longdog fun. This year's event is virtual.

Washington Metro Dachtoberfest Foundation (WMDF), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, raises

AWARENESS and EDUCATES dog owners about serious veterinary health issues so they can anticipate

the financial commitment of pet ownership, be proactive in their pet’s care, and understand the

essential importance of preventative care making pet owners better health advocates for their pets.
