YES, we launched a candle collection!
Introducing the Dogs of Charm City Crazy Dog Mom Candle Collection -- candles for dog moms as crazy as us. Inspired by doggolingo that we use on an everyday basis to verbalize our dogs' thoughts, these candles are made to put a really, really big smile on your face.
True story, we have been wanting to add a candle line to our online shop for a really long time. We had a lengthy list of requirements for these candles to ensure that they were 100% dog-safe, hand-poured locally by a Female Business Owner and fellow dog mom, environmentally-friendly, and vegan (is that so much to ask?? LOL). We also really hoped to support a Black-owned business through this candle line.
Insert Lisa, a Towson University graduate and dog mom to Tizzy the Pomeranian. Lisa started making candles during the pandemic as a form of self-care. "While emotions & politics ran rampant, candle-making allowed me to escape, even if only for a moment," Lisa says.
"We spend so much time in our heads and we don't often give ourselves relief by thinking thoughts that matter...thoughts that help. Using the power of aromatherapy, I've tasked myself with creating a range of candles that would provide instant remedies for anxiety, self-efficacy, esteem, worth and so much more," she says.
When we reached out to Lisa many months ago, she was just as excited about this project as we were. Aside from the high quality of her candles, we love Lisa's entrepreneurial spirit and positive energy.
Made from 100% dog-friendly ingredients like vegan coconut soy wax and essential oils, these candles are completely okay to burn while snuggled up with furry friends. They contain absolutely no paraffin, dyes, phthalates, parabens or formaldehydes. The scents we chose for these candles also help to neutralize stinky doggo odors in your home from YOU KNOW WHO.
